CounterSource is a granite and quartz showroom specializing in kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, custom stone installations, and select flooring solutions. Founded and led by an owner with nearly four decades of hands-on experience in the stone trade, we deliver high-quality materials, expert fabrication, and professional installation across the San Antonio area.
Our Story
CounterSource comes from a family with deep roots in the stone and countertop industry dating back to the late 1980s in the Chicago area. The owner grew up in the trade, working hands-on from a young age alongside family members in fabrication and installation.
This early foundation led to opening his first countertop business — Elegant Stone in Naperville, Illinois — at age 19. That shop continues to operate successfully today. Over the following years, the family completed hundreds of residential and commercial projects across the Chicago region, including large-scale kitchens and salon installations.
In 2004, the owner sold Elegant Stone and moved to San Antonio to establish CounterSource. Today, the company carries forward that same multi-generational standard of craftsmanship: full-slab selection in our warehouse, precise fabrication, quality installation, and honest service.
This isn’t a recent startup. It’s the continuation of nearly 40 years of family experience in the stone trade, now delivered through a modern San Antonio showroom focused on making the entire process transparent and stress-free for every customer.
