Leathered
A leathered finish adds subtle texture to the granite surface, created by running diamond-tipped brushes across the stone. The result varies considerably depending on the granite itself — some stones develop a gentle texture while others produce more pronounced surface variation. Honed
A honed finish is simply a matte surface — the stone is polished to a smooth finish without the final buffing step that creates shine. Many customers ask whether honed granite stains more easily than polished. The answer is no. Honed is purely a finish choice and has no effect on the porosity of the stone.
